Christmas Card Competition!

Navendu Mishra MP standing in front of a large Christmas tree in Mersey Way, Stockport.

Following the challenge of the pandemic and as we try to get back to more normal times, I am launching a competition for all primary school children in the Stockport constituency to design my 2021 Christmas card.

I am hoping to receive lots of entries from across the constituency. The card will be sent to many local residents, community groups and businesses in Stockport and friends in Westminster.

Entries will be judged by me and my team and I hope to display some of the designs in the windows of my constituency office in our town centre. The winning design will appear on the front of the card, and designs by the 4 runners up and a selection of other entries will be printed inside the card, with names and schools.

Please encourage any primary school-aged child you know to get involved – I am sure there are many budding young artists in Stockport, and I am looking forward to judging the entries!

I do not want to be too prescriptive but there are a few guidelines / rules on how to enter.

  • All submissions must be A4 and coloured in pencil, pen or paint (no glitter unfortunately!)

  • Entrants must live in or attend primary school in the Stockport constituency.

  • Please send designs to me at my constituency office:  Navendu Mishra MP, 102 Princes Street, Stockport SK1 1RJ or via email to navendu.mishra.mp@parliament.uk with the name, age, address and/or school clearly marked on the back.

  • All entries to be received by Friday 12th November 2021

I would like to visit the winner of the competition at school, present them with a prize and have photographs to publicise their achievement.

I look forward to seeing the designs!
