Christmas Card Competition 2022!
It is that time of the year again. Following the success of my inaugural Christmas card competition last year I hope to involve local primary schools to participate again in the design of my Christmas card for 2022.
The entries I received last year were incredible. My team and I had a difficult task of choosing just five winners. I would dearly love for as many primary school children to submit a design. The feedback I received from fellow MPs, local businesses and organisations etc about the final card design was extremely positive.
The winning entry will feature on the front of the Christmas card. With the name and school of the winning student also appearing. Entries will be judged by me and my team and I hope to display some of the designs in the windows of my constituency office.
Stockport is a wonderful place to live, and it is a huge privilege to be the Member of Parliament for the town. As such on this basis I would like to have a theme to the entries based around the children’s thoughts of “CHRISTMAS in STOCKPORT”.
Please encourage your children to get involved – I am sure there are many budding young artists in Stockport, and I am looking forward to judging the entries.
I do not want to be too prescriptive but there are a few guidelines / rules on how to enter.
– All submissions must be A4 and coloured in pencil, pen or paint (no glitter unfortunately!)
– Entrants must live in or attend primary school in the Stockport constituency
– Please send designs to me at my constituency office: Navendu Mishra MP, 102 Princes Street, Stockport SK1 1RJ or via email to navendu.mishra.mp@parliament.uk with the name, age, address and/or school clearly marked on the back.
– All entries to be received by Friday 10th November 2022
I would like to visit the winner of the competition at school, present them with a prize and have photographs to publicise their achievement.
If you have any questions, please do get in touch with my office. I hope you will ask your students to take part.
